Parameters in AutoTag allow you to set certain values when you generate your document that dictate exactly how your document is generated. For example, you may set a date range, select a name, or simply type in a title. This tutorial will teach you the basics you need to know to create and use parameters. After that, it’s up to your imagination to discover the possibilities of flexible and versatile document generation!

PODs in AutoTag allow you to split up the task of creating a template among a team. One team member with more technical skills may be more suited to the technical aspects of assigning data to tags, or applying advanced formatting to sections of a template while another team member may have a much better understanding of how the document should be organized, or have a better feel for how the boss wants to see the data. A POD consists of some element of a template: a parameter, a datasource, or a section of a document (including formatting and AutoTag tags), and can be dragged and dropped into a different document.
Pre-requisites: Inserting a Tag, Inserting Pre-Made Tags from the Data Bin, Parameter Basics
